United Way of the Brazos Valley is a volunteer-directed organization. We are governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors that represents many sectors of the region that we serve.
Brigadier General Joe E. Ramirez | Texas A&M University, Corps of Cadets | Board Chair
Brigadier General Joe Ramirez attended Texas A&M University and was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band in the Corps of Cadets. General Ramirez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Texas A&M (1979); a Masters Degree in Management as wells as a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies He has dedicated 31 years of military service and commanded soldiers around the world.

Alsie Bond has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Masters in Urban Planning from Texas A&M University. Her involvement with United Way spans over 15 years. She is married with six children. She truly believes in the spirit of the community in which she serves and lives and is extremely grateful to be a part of such a united community.

Andrew Hawkins | Hawkins Architecture | Secretary, Community Impact
Andrew Hawkins received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon. He owns and operates an architecture firm in College Station. Andrew has lived in College Station for almost twenty years and hopes to improve the community through volunteer and charitable efforts.
