Tocqueville Society

The Tocqueville Society recognizes persons who have rendered outstanding voluntary service in their communities and contribute annual gifts of $10,000 and above. The name was chosen in honor of Alexis de Tocqueville, the 19th century French diplomat, who admired the spirit of voluntary association and voluntary effort for the common good he had observed and written about during his travels in America.
