Families Matter

The Families Matter Community Solutions Team includes members of the community who have a vested interest in the self-sufficiency and safety of families. They envision a community where families receive adequate support to become self-sufficient and successfully pursue their highest potential. The committee’s first goal has been to create an awareness of the poverty in our community by “putting a face on poverty.” They will be holding a Hunger Banquet for several United Way community events. Additionally, they are creating a booklet, “Living Economically in the Brazos Valley,” in partnership with United Way’s 2-1-1 Area Information Center.
