What is Community Impact?
United Way’s Community Impact is about people helping people. We're bringing the entire community together to magnify a shared vision of caring and impact the issues that matter most. Like all of United Way’s work, Community Impact is focused on achieving lasting change in community conditions, because not only people, but results matter. Partners supported by United Way work to improve people’s lives and build a better, stronger and more diverse community.
United Way’s long history has proven that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. By convening community members from the private sector, nonprofit agencies, education, government, and faith-based organizations, United Way can accomplish collectively more than any group can on its own. By contributing time, money and talents to the issues under each of these impact areas, quality of life is improved; possibilities become reality; and, lasting change is created.
United Way is focused on bringing solid, measurable results in four key areas that are essential to improving people’s lives and strengthening communities throughout the Brazos Valley Region: Kids, Families, Health and Safety.
We hope you will join us and become of a part of making a real difference. For more information on Community Impact, contact Kay Parker, Vice President Community Impact.
