Resource Coordinator ~ 2-1-1 Texas/United Way
2-1-1 Texas/United Way of the Brazos Valley has an exciting opportunity in the nonprofit field.
The full-time Resource Coordinator will accurately maintain the resource database containing accurate community information and health and human services program and activities in compliance with AIRS standards and in coordination of Texas Information and Referral Network (TIRN). The Resource Coordinator will develop, publish and distribute reports, information materials and the Community Information Digest. Additionally, the Resource Coordinator will assist in representing 2-1-1 Texas at community events and meetings.
The appropriate candidate will possess the following skills:
- Posses a high level of initiative; able to work with minimal supervision.
- A professional and courteous manner while engaging in any contact with co-workers, clients, agencies, etc.
- Acute attention to details and coordination of various activities simultaneously (multi-task).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Access, ReferNet (or other I&R database software).
- Spanish Bilingual skills, a plus.
Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Management, Computer Science, or Social Services, or combination of education and related experience. Must have Certified Resource Specialist (CRS) certification or be willing to obtain certification within one year of employment. Knowledge of community resources, social services, as well as information and referral processes.
